We’ve accomplished a lot in our first three years, and we are just getting started.
WE HAVE ENGAGED OVER 6,677 OAKLAND YOUTH IN 45 EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAMS
Of the youth served, 98% are youth of color, 75% come from low-income households and 40% identify as female.
Many of the youth are survivors of interpersonal or community trauma. We provide participants with the resources and services necessary to meet basic needs, improve financial literacy and begin healing. We provide emergency grants up to $1,000 for youth to overcome financial barriers such as eviction, homelessness and theft, replacing outdated or broken technical equipment, paying for education fees, and assistance with transportation costs.
Over 160 youth and young adults found jobs as a result of their participation in our programming.
64 tech employers have hosted site visits for participants to learn from and network with professionals in the tech sector
